The Best Modular Deployment Award in Europe, Middle East and Africa, has been awarded to LAMDA HELLIX during the DatacenterDynamics EMEA Awards 2016, for the deployment of a containerized data center solution fully powered by renewable energy sources.
LAMDA HELLIX has been awarded for a project implemented on behalf of GRNET. This new eco, high-density data center is fully powered by Louros River, employing the area’s water resources and achieving energy savings up to 70%. The data center operates into containers, designed by LAMDA HELLIX and in accordance with the natural environment and the local weather conditions.
DatacenterDynamics EMEA Awards 2016 are considered to be the “Oscars” of the data center industry and is the most recognized awards institution worldwide. They are part of a world-wide series dedicated to recognising excellence in the design and operation of the full range of data center and cloud infrastructure. The awards ceremony took place on December, 7th in London.
