Lamda Hellix participated in the international Subsea Connect 2017 conference with the leading hosting and domain name companies, Top.Host and IpHost, which was conducted on the 11th & 12th of July, in Marseille.

 

Subsea Connect is the only conference in Europe focusing on subsea cable industry and international telecommunication networks, and is considered a meeting point of all the major players of this market. The main purpose of the Greek mission was to highlight the advantages the geopolitical position of Greece offers in the cable interconnection of Europe, Asia and Africa.

 

Enterprise Greece, supported the Greek mission, loyal to its goal to reinforce Greek companies' extroversion and enhance the country’s attractiveness as an investment destination.

 

Apostolos Kakkos, Chairman & CEO of Lamda Hellix, participated at a panel where the role of data centers in subsea cabling market was analyzed along with the ways that colocation data centers can optimize the quality of interconnection networks. Following the session, Mr. Kakkos stated: “Subsea telecommunication interconnections can be a major part of the country’s digital strategy and a way to become the technology hub of Southeastern Europe.
