Athens, Greece, September 12, 2018: Lamda Hellix, the leading data center services provider in South East Europe, supported Khazna Data Centers during the preparation for its Tier III application & certification. Upon review, the Uptime Institute awarded the Tier III Certification of Design Documents to Khazna’s existing 9MW facilities in Dubai and Abu Dhabi in less than 6 months.

The Company has a long history of cooperation with Uptime Institute in South East Europe and the MENA region, including a large number of Accredited Tier Designer and Operations Specialists and an extended track record of successful Tier III & Tier IV Certification projects for major organizations in the banking, telecom and service provider sectors in both Europe and the Middle East.

Khazna Data Centers is the only dedicated commercial wholesale data center provider in the UAE and is one of the largest data center infrastructure operators in the Middle East and North Africa region. At the moment, Khazna is also expanding across its existing facilities in Dubai and Abu Dhabi. The expansion will cover total build-up area of around 31,000 sqm, and the combined facilities will deliver over 24 megawatt (MW) of IT load once complete by end of 2019. Khazna Data Centers also intend to secure the Uptime Institute accreditation for the expansion.

During the consulting project, Lamda Hellix handled the preparation and review of the design documentation, full liaison with Uptime Institute, the guidance of the project’s contractors and all of the comprehensive and revised reviews during the certification procedure. Following the completion of the process, Khazna Data Centers was awarded the Tier III Certification of Design Document by the Uptime Institute Professional Services. The certification recognizes that all existing Khazna Data Centers, fulfill the Tier III Concurrently Maintainable criteria without disrupting operations and that there are no shortfalls or weak links in its data center infrastructure.
