Lamda Hellix and Grid Telecom announced today that the later has added a new point of presence (PoP) at the Lamda Hellix Carrier-Neutral Data Center Campus located on the outskirts of Athens.
Grid Telecom, as a subsidiary company of ADMIE, has direct access to an extended (3.000km) fiber-optic network throughout Greece. Fiber optic cables are installed along high voltage pylons, ensuring a high level of service availability. At the same time, cross-border and submarine fiber optic networks are constantly expanding through IPTO connections, inside and outside the country. Grid Telecom provides dark fiber services to telecommunication providers, giving them the opportunity to develop their own fully protected network through diverse routes, while soon will be available super high-speed capacity services from 10 to 100 Gbps via a state-of-the-art DWDM network.
Lamda Hellix, as one of the largest neutral data center providers in SE Europe, Middle East, and North Africa, guarantees the smooth and uninterrupted operation of Grid Telecom’s central node providing full and free access to the extended ecosystem of national and international providers hosted at its Tier III & LEED Gold certified Data Center Campus. Through this cooperation, the rich ecosystem of customers and providers of Lamda Hellix acquires direct access to one of the largest fiber-optic networks in Greece, with additional wide range quality options.
