Athens-2 was built within LAMDA HELLIX’s Data Center Campus in Athens and it was developed to meet the strong demand for premium interconnection and carrier-neutral data center services in South Eastern Europe. It is one of the first data centers in Europe that is in the process of receiving the ‘Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design’ (LEED) v4 Gold Certification for Building Design & Construction, by the U.S. Green Building Council. LEED is considered the most important international recognition of best practices and strategies for new green buildings.
