LAMDA Hellix, a subsidiary of LAMDA Development, won the prestigious Best European Green Data Center Initiative Award during the Data Centers Europe 2010 Conference held in Nice, France on 24 & 25 June.
 
Awarded as Best Regional Data Center Operator 2009 in Europe, LAMDA Hellix was short listed for the second consequent year among the top companies of the industry, such as Equinix, TelecityGroup, Interxion, Microsoft, etc. Data Centers Europe 2010, is the largest conference dedicated to Data Center services and infrastructure across Europe and includes a product and services exhibition as well as European-level awards nomination. DCE Awards is the most prestigious and respected awards program in the Data Center sector attracting entries from more than 30 countries and all nominations are judged by a panel of independent, highly-respected industry experts in cooperation with the Green Gid.
 
The Best European Green Data Center Initiative Award recognizes and acknowledges true innovation and initiatives that enable data centres to directly reduce environmental impact and improve efficiency. Particular emphasis is placed on the use of The Green Grid’s guides, research and Power Usage Effectiveness (PUE) metrics that measure current energy usage, providing data centre operators with ability to calculate weaknesses and identify improvements that can be made to the design and processes.
