Being an active member of the society in which we operate is a priority as regards to our Corporate Social Responsibility. Greek society is plagued by economic crisis and this has caused a major effect on the birth rates. Researches have shown that Greece will be a nation mainly consisted of elderly due to the extinct birth rates. Protecting the future in any way, is of major significance for us and for that we have also chosen to support the N.G.O. HOPEgenesis. Their mission is to contribute to the revival, development and the gradual increase of Greece’s population.

HOPEgenesis is a non-profit organization in the field of medicine that addresses the issue of low birth rates in Greece. It provides comprehensive medical care and treatment to women from the first day of their pregnancy till the day they give birth. The organization focuses mainly on women who live in rural areas or isolated islands in Greece. In order to be more effective, HOPEgenesis has established close collaboration with local communities so as to provide the necessary assurance to women who are or want to become pregnant but postpone their need due to insecurity and lack of medical facilities. Their motto is that “Motherhood is a right, not a privilege” and they strive to support a human right that is questioned nowadays due to financial criteria.

We firmly believe to a society of equal rights and opportunities and it is our obligation to maintain equal access to all human rights or services. Therefore, it was our great pleasure to meet HOPEgenesis team, learn more of their contribution to this purpose and be part of the chain that supports their efforts.
